Woodinville based Storage and Recovery company, Zetta Systems, has come up with a patent pending storage controller software that does not require propietary hardware and runs on any OS platform. The software works for both NAS and SANs. This adds advanced features like thin provisioning and instant snapshot backup and recovery. Looks like they are finally getting some notice, can you say Storage Revolution?

Picking A BlackBerry
So I've been waiting for a Bluetooth capable BlackBerry from Cingular. They finally have one but it's not the one I was expecting. The 7290 is basically the same as the previous 7280 but adds on Bluetooth, more memory, and it's black. T-Mobile is still the only carrier that has the 7100t which is what I was hoping Cingular would add. So which way should I go?
Pros: I'm already a Cingular subscriber so I don't have to go thru the hassle and the cost of activation by switching to T-Mobile.
Cons: Cingular's BlackBerry Xpress Mail service cost $49.99 for unlimited email and web browsing compared to $19.99 for T-Mobile's plan, but Cingular has EDGE technology which is about 4 times faster than GPRS which T-Mobile is still stuck on. Not sure if the 7290 is even capable of utilizing EDGE technology. (Find out what's the difference) Does anyone know?
Pros: It looks cooler and is smaller than the 7290.
Cons: The 7100t does not have a full QWERTY keyboard like the other BlackBerrys and still on GPRS.
UPDATE 2/18/2005: Blackberry 7290 is not EDGE capable, you'll need the new Treo 650 for that. Too bad. So you'll be surfing at the same speed as T-Mobile.

Jabra BT800 - Peep this on Engadget. Approx. $120. Cool display on the actual headset. I'm kinda torn, do I really want to look like some borg out of Star Trek? (Check out this Wired article on iPod Cyborg Consumerism) I like the design of the BT800. I like the idea of never having to dig out your phone everytime you want to take a call. This is suppose to be available right now but all the websites say pre-order. I checked BestBuy and nothing.
Sony Ericcson HBH-660 , Approx $90, has been out for awhile too. Seems like it's the pretty much the same thing but with less features like (less ringtones, no vibrate). Not getting as much attention on Engadget. This I can find pretty easily.
Which one would you buy?
